The joyous sound of the world’s biggest musical instrument
What is bellringing?
Bellringing is the art of ringing tuned church (and sometimes non church) bells. We ring these bells in different patterns called "methods". Bands of ringers get together to ring one bell each to create cool sounding music.
It’s social, surprisingly physical, and open to complete beginners. University groups run weekly practices, service ringing, peals, tours, and very decent pub trips.
